The Wooster Group’s HAMLET reimagines Shakespeare’s classic tragedy by channeling the ghost of Richard Burton’s legendary 1964 performance. Using a “theatrofilm” made of that production, the Group attempts to reconstruct a hypothetical theater piece from the fragmentary evidence of the film.

The Wooster Group, an experimental theater and media ensemble, seeks a knowledgeable video technician with experience in video for live performance, editing, production, streaming, and interactive programming. This is a technical position that will collaborate on the development of video content for media and performance projects, design and install video systems, maintain inventories and equipment, and live mix video for performances locally and on tour internationally. Ideal candidate will be confident with various hardware systems as well as be familiar with Mac software platforms including Isadora, MAX/MSP and FinalCut Pro. Experience with audio software, networking and hardware platforms is a plus.
