Un omaggio a Giacomo Verde, tra i protagonisti della videoarte e del videoartivismo italiano.
L’incontro attraversa la sua ricerca attraverso due prospettive complementari: la presentazione del volume Giacomo Verde. Dialoghi videoartivisti di Andreina Di Brino, con prefazione di Anna Maria Monteverdi, e la proiezione del docu-film Giacomo Verde non esiste, diretto da Gioele Gallo.
Il volume ricostruisce oltre trent’anni di sperimentazione tra tecnologie “povere”, net art, installazioni interattive e pratiche artiviste. Il film ripercorre invece il pensiero e le opere di Verde attraverso testimonianze, materiali d’archivio e il viaggio del personaggio L., mettendo al centro il rapporto tra arte, responsabilità e trasformazione sociale.
Due modi diversi per rileggere un’eredità che continua a interrogare il presente.

The event explores his research through two complementary perspectives: the presentation of Giacomo Verde. Dialoghi videoartivisti by Andreina Di Brino, with a preface by Anna Maria Monteverdi, and the screening of the docu-film Giacomo Verde non esiste, directed by Gioele Gallo.
The book retraces more than thirty years of experimentation across “poor” technologies, net art, interactive installations and activist practices. The film follows Verde’s ideas and works through testimonies, archival material and the journey of the character L., focusing on the relationship between art, responsibility and social transformation.
Two different ways of engaging with a legacy that continues to question the present.
